SafeWork NSW is seeking experienced and motivated professionals to join SafeWork NSW as a State Inspector.
About the Role
We have multiple roles available in the following areas:
Return to Work (RTW)
Investigations
Psychosocial (e.g., Psychological Health and Safety)
The State Inspector is the highest-level inspector grade in SafeWork NSW.
As a State Inspector working in RTW you will utilise your strategic leadership skills to design and implement regulatory interventions to secure NSW workers' health and safety and their return to and recovery at work.
As a State Inspector working in the specialist field of Psychological Health and Safety, you will utilise your strategic leadership skills to design and implement regulatory interventions to secure NSW workers' psychological health and safety.
In leading the investigation of WHS matters on behalf of SafeWork NSW, the Investigations State Inspector will apply a dedicated focus on improving and supporting SafeWork NSW delivering outcomes across all regulatory priorities. This includes investigation of matters related to psychosocial risk and harm (including sexual harassment and assault) and matters related to harm to workers in Health Care and Social Assistance sectors.
Ideal candidates will be passionate about leading and building internal stakeholder relationships to support the resolution of complex regulatory problems in a professional and customer-focused manner. Ideal candidates will also have strong leadership and mentoring skills.
