About the opportunity
A number of fixed-term teaching roles (0.2FTE) available for 2 years. Base salary starting from $83,454 + 17% superannuation (pro rata). The positions are based in the Susan Wakil Health building on the Camperdown Campus as part of the School of Health Sciences.
The School of Health Sciences is a leading institution, ranked number three in sports, physical therapy and rehabilitation. Positions will involve teaching in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Exercise and Sport Science, Medical Imaging Sciences and Behavioural and Social Science in Health, among other areas.
Key responsibilities
* Undertake teaching in the School of Health Sciences and contribute to outstanding teaching and learning outcomes.
* Deliver high-quality teaching experiences that meet the University's expectations and standards for education.
* Carrying out administrative tasks related to your teaching area and discipline.
* Contributing to a positive workplace culture that values diversity of thought, collaboration, excellence and outcomes.
* Understanding and furthering the university and faculty strategic agenda.
* Undertake other duties appropriate to your classification level as required.
Qualifications
* Currently enrolled as a PhD student (full‐time or part‐time) at the University of Sydney within the relevant discipline.
* Enrolled for a minimum of two research periods (approximately 6 months) at full‐time equivalent and no plans to complete the PhD within two years of the contract start date.
* Demonstrated clear understanding of the subject matter within the discipline.
* Research supervisor endorsement for the role and progress in studies.
* Experience in teaching and learning, evidenced by participation in teaching within an established program and in a variety of settings.
* Participation as a team member in designing, implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives.
* Developing knowledge and understanding of key strategic issues in the discipline and higher education sector.
