Job Description
The ideal candidate will lead the growth and development of a new campus, overseeing all aspects of teaching and learning, student wellbeing, and day-to-day operations. This role is to commence term 4, 2025.
Reporting to the Executive Principal – Victoria, the Head of School is responsible for working collaboratively within the broader Indie School community across the state.
* Action approved Development Plan and Indie model
* Policy and Procedure implementation
* Draft production of Annual Report
* Staff management including recruitment, annual performance reviews and disciplinary action as needed
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance against Indie standard operating procedures
* Manage the day-to-day running of the allocated location(s)
* Assist with efficiency analysis and solution-focused approach to managing inefficiencies
* Assist with planning, proposals and implementations of school improvements
* State regulatory body liaison
* School data collection, review and reporting
* Expenditure as per approved budget
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Deep understanding of effective teaching, learning and classroom management practices
* Demonstrated experience as an exemplary teacher
* Capacity for educational leadership within a school setting
* Ability to lead a team and work within a team
* High level decision making skills
