About The Role
Merri‐bek City Council is seeking an experienced Senior System Accountant to join the Elevate Transformation Program and support the delivery of a major council‐wide digital transformation. This full‐time fixed‐term role ends 30 June 2028, is based on 38 hours per week, provides a monthly RDO, and offers a salary of $133k‐$149k plus superannuation.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert advice on finance processes and TechnologyOne system requirements to inform system design and configuration
* Translate current and future‐state finance processes into effective system solutions
* Ensure statutory, compliance and internal control requirements are embedded in the finance system
* Act as a key liaison between finance stakeholders, service areas, vendors and the transformation program
* Lead and participate in system testing, validation and quality assurance activities
* Support cutover planning, go‐live readiness and post‐implementation activities
* Identify opportunities to streamline and improve finance processes using system capabilities
* Document finance processes, system configurations and controls
* Support knowledge transfer and capability building across finance teams
