ESS, part of Compass Group, provides integrated hospitality and support services to the Australian Defence Force (ADF). We are currently seeking dedicated, safety-minded and customer-focused team members to join our on-base operations supporting catering, cleaning, and facilities maintenance.
Cleaning & Support Responsibilities
* Clean and maintain mess halls, kitchens, accommodation areas, offices and common areas
* Wash, sanitise and maintain crockery, cutlery, kitchen equipment and surfaces
* Operate commercial dishwashers and cleaning equipment
* Ensure facilities meet strict hygiene, food safety and Defence security standards
* Assist with stock rotation, waste removal and storage organisation
* Follow site-specific cleaning schedules and procedures
* Report hazards, maintenance issues and incidents promptly
* Maintain a safe, tidy and professional environment always
* Contribute to a proactive culture of safety, teamwork and operational excellence
About You
You may be suited to this role if you bring experience in cleaning, kitchen hand or hospitality support, along with a strong commitment to safety and reliability.
* Experience working in structured or high-compliance environments (preferred)
* Friendly, reliable and professional with strong attention to detail
* Comfortable working in Defence environments with security requirements
* Ability to follow procedures and work as part of a team
* Current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable transport (some sites may require travel)
* Australian Citizenship is mandatory (Defence security clearance required)
* Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Defence clearance
