The role aims to be recognized as a trusted finance team member. This role supports the finance lead in all training and development activities to develop best-in-class finance professionals and assists in developing their finance team. It supports a robust control and compliance environment and contributes to implementing EMEA Operations Finance innovations and projects.
What will I be doing?
The Senior Cost Controller analyzes Food & Beverage costs and controls factors to ensure the implementation of cost-effective measures throughout the Food & Beverage department. This role prepares various reports and conducts weekly meetings to keep departments and directors informed of trends and cost factors. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
* Planning and directing actions to correct activities harmful to the profitability of our Food & Beverage department.
* Assisting in any other way deemed necessary for the efficient overall operation of the Finance Department in full compliance with policies, regulations, and contractual frameworks.
* Business partnering with all hotel finance team members and the F&B department.
* Participating in all relevant finance training and development programs. Responsibilities relevant to joint job roles will apply in accordance with Hilton’s job segregation policies.
What are we looking for?
* Ability to analyze large volumes of complex financial information from many sources and create reports, forecasts, and projections.
* Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to effectively address issues in collaboration with others.
* Proactive identification and prevention of potential problems.
* Ability to develop problem-solving skills among direct reports and team members.
* Initiative to identify, prioritize, and implement responsibilities.
* Detail-oriented and organized.
* Ability to develop presentations and effectively communicate at all levels of the company, hotels, and owners.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills (all management levels and external customers).
* Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to quickly learn new programs.
Additional Preferences:
* University degree in Accounting or Finance.
