About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Solicitor/Associate to join our high-performing Insurance litigation team in our Perth office. Ideally, you will have at least 2 years' post qualification experience and a strong interest in insurance litigation and health law.
This role will see you working on a wide variety of professional indemnity and health law matters (including medical negligence claims and disciplinary proceedings) within a highly collaborative and supportive team. In return, the role will provide the successful candidate with a unique opportunity to work alongside two of our highly regarded Principals, whilst receiving mentorship to support their career advancement based on proven performance.
About You
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need:
* Post admission experience gained working in a litigation practice (ideally 2 years or more)
* A genuine interest in insurance and health law
* Ability to work fast and meticulously with high attention to detail
* Excellent communication and organisational skill
* Ability to work collaboratively with a strong sense of initiative and autonomy
* Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
* A great work ethic and be keen to learn and develop your career
Skills & Abilities
* Demonstrated ability to understand and respond to the commercial objectives of clients
* This role requires an eye for technical detail but also the ability to provide legal advice in a commercial context. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate clearly with a high level of attention to detail
* Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels of the business
* Ability to deal confidently with clients directly and foster client relationships
* Time management skills and proven ability to prioritise multiple active matters at any one time
* Capacity to problem solve and think laterally
