We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join the team at our site in Launceston in the afternoon shift.
You will contribute to the success of Opal by:
* Using your trade skills to provide quality and timely maintenance service.
* Actively participating in the development, promotion, implementation and compliance to all Company's Health Safety & Environment strategy and policies.
* Playing a key role within a team focused on the development and execution of efficient preventative maintenance and continuous improvement practices on the site using SAP.
* Providing technical support, problem solving and continuous improvement to support production and other maintenance and engineering initiatives.
* Participating in improvement plans across the commercial team around reporting improvements, standardisation across the region and process enhancements.
* Daily task reporting and organisation of external contractors and services.
* Being part of projects for the factory; to implement upgrades to equipment and machinery.
* Identifying and communicating electrical equipment and parts to the procurement team.

We expect you to have;
* A current Electrical Practitioner Licence (TAS).
* A motivated and professional attitude.
* A strong personal safety ethic.
* The ability to work on a rotating roster for Saturday coverage.
* The ability to work autonomously in environments with time constraints.
* An understanding of maintenance work planning and scheduling procedures.
* Experience and understanding of electrical systems to analyse, troubleshoot and solve problems including SCADA systems, AC and DC motors, safety interlocks and controls, variable speed drives, electrical drawings, pneumatics and hydraulic systems.
* Skills and knowledge in JSEA, Risk Assessments, Working Permits and LOTO.
