Electrical and Mechanical Engineer Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrical and Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the Australian Defence Air Traffic System (ADATS) Capability Assurance Program.
This program is focused on modernizing critical air traffic control infrastructure across RAAF sites nationwide, implementing next-generation system upgrades while ensuring continuous operational capability.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in integrating and implementing system upgrades across RAAF sites nationwide, working within a skilled technical team to ensure seamless integration between new systems and existing infrastructure while maintaining operational integrity throughout the transition.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement electrical and mechanical modifications required for the system upgrades.
* Develop and execute system integration solutions for power distribution and communications cabling.
* Conduct technical assessments and verification testing of integrated systems.
* Create and review engineering documentation including modification procedures and technical specifications.
* Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to resolve complex integration challenges.
Requirements
* A university degree in engineering with significant electrical or mechanical engineering component.
* Minimum 2-5 years of relevant engineering experience in systems integration or implementation.
* Demonstrated experience in electrical design and system modifications.
* Strong knowledge of electrical and data interface standards.
* Proven ability to work autonomously with limited supervision on complex technical projects.
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience in defence projects or systems engineering environment.
* Familiarity with military standards and RAN engineering standards.
