The City of Rockingham invites applications for a
Work Health and Safety Officer
role to lead the transformation of WHS systems into a fully integrated online platform.
Location:
Rockingham, Western Australia
Type: Full-time, 38 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Lead development and launch of the new integrated WHS platform.
Provide expert advice on WHS legislation, compliance and best practices.
Support the workforce with practical, timely safety solutions.
Champion safety culture initiatives and drive behavioural change.
Collaborate across departments to ensure WHS messages are clearly communicated and understood.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in WHS or equivalent.
Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including report writing.
Developed knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, practices, procedures and standards.
Knowledge of contemporary injury management and risk management practices and principles.
Experience in WHS management within a multidisciplinary organisation.
Experience in development and implementation of safety policies, strategies and procedures.
Current unrestricted 'C' class driver's licence.
Salary and Benefits
Gross salary $91,088 – $97,835 per annum.
12% superannuation, co-contribute up to 5% (potential 22% total).
