Job Title: Workplace Relations Leader
Job Description
You will play a crucial role within the People and Wellbeing Division, leading the development and execution of our workplace relations strategy. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will provide strategic guidance on all workplace relations matters and collaborate closely with the Business Partner Team and the University Executive Team.
* Extensive knowledge and experience in workplace relations, labour law, and employment policies within a large, diverse, and complex organisation.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective workplace relations strategies and policies, balancing compliance with a focus on employee engagement and satisfaction.
* Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex workplace relations issues and disputes.
* Experience in building and maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders, including union bodies and industry associations, to facilitate collaboration and achieve desired outcomes.
* Strong Project Management competence and discipline.
* In-depth understanding of the Australian Higher Education sector and associated industrial relations landscape, including familiarity with the AHEIA network and relevant regulations.
