Community Engagement Officer - RenewablesAbout the CompanyOur client is a leading renewable energy company with a global footprint, focused on delivering innovative solutions for the green transition. They operate across projects involving wind, solar (PV), BESS, and green hydrogen, covering development, construction, and asset management phases.About the RoleThis is a two-year, non-ongoing contract within the Stakeholder Relations team, reporting to the Head of Stakeholder Relations. During pre-construction, reporting is also to relevant Development Managers; during construction, to EPC Managers. You will manage stakeholder engagement, local content, First Nations relations, and ESG reporting for renewable projects in Victoria and New South Wales.ResponsibilitiesStakeholder EngagementImplement Stakeholder Engagement Plans, liaise with stakeholders, organize events, and maintain registers.Source and recommend community engagement opportunities.Organize and support high-level meetings between the company and key stakeholders.Local Content and EmploymentMaintain registers of local content and First Nations suppliers.Organize Supplier Nights and promote local employment opportunities.Record and report on local content and employment figures.First Nations and Environmental GroupsBuild and support relationships with First Nations organizations and NGOs.CommunicationsDevelop stories for LinkedIn, press releases, and media inquiries.Assist with organizing events and managing media relations.Maintain project websites and create collateral to support engagement plans.Grievance MechanismManage grievance mechanisms and coordinate resolutions.ESG ReportingCoordinate ESG reporting for projects.Qualifications & Experience3+ years of experience in community engagement.Strong understanding of construction within the energy sector.In-depth knowledge of environmental and First Nations issues and organizations.Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills.BenefitsA dynamic, purpose-driven work environment in a high-growth sector.Entrepreneurial culture encouraging initiative and responsibility.Ongoing professional development through a dedicated People Development Program.A collaborative, values-driven team working to accelerate the green transition.Flexible working arrangements, based in Melbourne or regional Victoria.How to applyIf interested and qualified, please apply now with your latest CV.
