Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a rural setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with GPs and allied health professionals to deliver holistic healthcare services.
The role will involve a range of responsibilities including wound management, triage, ECGs, spirometry, chronic disease management, health assessments, workplace medicals, cold chain management, vaccinations, infection control, and assisting with minor surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Wound Management: Provide comprehensive wound care services to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
* Triage: Assess and manage patient presentations in a timely and efficient manner.
* ECGs and Spirometry: Conduct ECGs and spirometry tests to diagnose and monitor respiratory conditions.
* Chronic Disease Management: Develop and implement individualized plans for managing chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart failure.
* Health Assessments: Perform comprehensive health assessments on patients to identify potential health risks and provide preventative care.
* Workplace Medicals: Conduct workplace medicals to ensure employees are fit for duty and comply with regulatory requirements.
* Cold Chain Management: Ensure the safe storage and handling of vaccines and medications.
* Vaccinations: Administer vaccinations to patients to prevent infectious diseases.
* Infection Control: Implement measures to prevent the spread of infections within the practice.
* Assisting with Minor Surgical Procedures: Assist with minor surgical procedures under the supervision of a surgeon.
