Clinic Manager Position
This role requires a passionate and experienced leader to manage day-to-day clinic operations, rosters, scheduling, and after-hours services in a busy Aboriginal Medical Clinic.
* Manage the daily operation of the clinic, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of healthcare services.
* Lead and support clinical staff through coaching, performance reviews, and training coordination.
* Oversee triage processes, emergency response protocols, and culturally safe walk-in services.
* Chair GP and nursing meetings and facilitate communication across the clinic.
* Drive accreditation, policy development, risk management, and organisational compliance.
* Conduct and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly audits including infection control and cold chain.
* Manage referral triaging and support visiting specialist services.
* Monitor data reports and contribute to clinical governance, supporting KPI achievement.
The ideal candidate will have a combination of leadership experience, community-first values, and a deep commitment to culturally safe care. They will hold a Certificate IV or Diploma in Leadership & Management or Practice Management, or a clinical qualification with demonstrated management experience. Strong understanding of Aboriginal community needs, cultural safety, and the health factors impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is essential. Experience with accreditation, audits, compliance, and stakeholder engagement is also desirable.
