Looking for an experienced Payroll Officer and Administrator to join a well-known Mining organisation.
**Location**:Thornton - New South Wales
**Contract length**: 5 months contract with opportunity for permanent role
**Start date**: Immediately
**Working hours**: 8:30 am till 5:00pm from Monday to Friday
**Pay rate**: $38/hour + super
After permanent employment the salary will be $75000 + super
**WFH Flexibility**: Ideally work from office but can offer WFH flexibility
**Training**: Systems training will be provided by the organization
**Role duties**:
- To provide efficient operations of Accounts Payable duties
- To control and process the company's payroll and all other payroll related duties.
- To provide support and assistance to the finance team as required.
- Co-ordination of a payroll function
- Responsibility for maintenance of personnel files ensuring they are in line with legislative, best practice and audit requirements
- Other adhoc and processing duties as requested by manager
**Experience and skills**:
- At least 2-3 years demonstrated experience in Payroll Administration
- Strong numeracy skills
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Excellent time management, organisation and communication skills
- Good record keeping
- Due to the confidential nature of the information Payroll Officers are exposed to, a high degree of professionalism and discretion is required
