About the Role:
* Provides library services and support for the MC community.
* Manages the MC Collection (e.g., monographs, local print serials, eBook Central) in collaboration with library staff.
* Maintains and improves library systems.
* General administrative, event, organisational, and reception support.
* 4 days/week (Mon – Thurs).
* $58,299.25/annum (excl. Super) for full time; pro-rated to $46,639.40/annum.
Essential Key Attributes (please respond to these attributes in your Cover Letter):
* A qualification in library studies conferring eligibility for associate librarian or library technician membership of ALIA.
* Experience working in a library, including in cataloguing and client services.
* Well-developed proficiency and capability with personal computers and software, the Web, and library-relevant information technology applications.
* Demonstrated Christian character and involvement in a local evangelical church.
* Alignment of personal values, beliefs and practices with the mission, Staff Code (https://tinyurl.com/mcstaffcode), and Christian ethos of Morling College.
* Willingness to embrace a culture of shared evangelical conviction and gracious, respectful disagreement on other matters.
* Well-developed written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills.
* Responsible and able to stay 'on task' unsupervised.
* Commitment to provide high quality customer service.
Desirable Attributes:
* Familiarity with theology as a subject area.
