Clinical Neuropsychologist Role
The Clinical Neuropsychologist plays a vital role in the assessment and treatment of patients with complex cognitive and behavioral challenges.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering specialist care to patients, conducting neuropsychological assessments, and preparing clinical reports that support recovery and long-term wellbeing.
Responsibilities
* Deliver specialist care to patients with complex cognitive and behavioral challenges that affect diagnosis and require tailored interventions.
* Conduct neuropsychological assessments and prepare clinical reports, including information for relevant authorities where applicable.
* Manage cases, offer evidence-based treatment recommendations, and formulate comprehensive management plans to support patients' recovery and long-term wellbeing.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to case management for clients with complex issues.
* Apply knowledge of neuropsychological syndromes in drug and alcohol settings and related comorbidities where relevant.
Qualifications
* A Master or Doctor of Clinical Neuropsychology or Clinical Psychology is required. AHPRA registration with endorsement to practice as a Clinical Neuropsychologist or Clinical Psychologist is essential.
* Experience in neuropsychological assessments, treatment planning, report writing, and providing clinical feedback is necessary.
* Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and in case management of clients with complex issues is highly valued.
* Knowledge or experience in neuropsychological assessment/diagnosis in a drug and alcohol setting with complex comorbidities is an asset.
* Experience with diverse patients with complex presentations, including neurological disorders, drug and alcohol, psychiatric, and other medical conditions is beneficial.
* Commitment to working with Aboriginal patients, families, and communities and improving health outcomes for socially disadvantaged groups is important.
* A current driver's license and willingness to use it for work purposes is also required.
