Principal Cyber Security Engineer / Platform Specialist (NV1)
Canberra | Federal Government | 12-Month Contract + 2 x Extensions
Gov Recruit is seeking EL2-equivalent Cyber Security Professionals
to deliver sustainment and uplift of critical security platforms within a Federal Government Department.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership across cyber security & operations teams
Sustain & uplift key security platforms (Linux, PKI, PAM, App Control)
Deliver vulnerability scanning & infrastructure support (Tenable, RunZero, Carbon Black, WDAC)
Ensure operational stability while supporting project delivery
Collaborate with stakeholders & maintain compliance documentation
Essential Skills
Linux / RHEL / Red Hat Satellite / IDM / FA Policy D
Carbon Black / WDAC Application Control
Tenable Vulnerability Management, RunZero
PAM (MFA, Delinea Secret Server, EntraID)
Active Directory Certificate Services (PKI)
Microsoft EntraID Cloud Sync
Desirable
Nutanix, VMware, Citrix, Microsoft Windows Server, PowerShell, Ansible, EntraID automation.
