Sales Manager Role
The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading our sales operations across Townsville and Cairns. The primary focus will be on controlling the sale and distribution of products and services to achieve sales forecasts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement sales policies, including product line and pricing recommendations.
* Control the sales organisation and product distribution across North QLD.
* Perform estimating and general sales duties as required.
* Lead business development in Townsville and provide oversight in Cairns.
* Promote strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and major accounts.
* Direct, motivate, and evaluate the performance of internal and external sales teams.
* Prepare regular and ad hoc sales reports for management.
* Monitor and support product launches, promotions, advertising, and merchandising activities.
* Prepare contracts and supervise customer agreements.
* Recruit, train, and develop sales staff to meet performance objectives.
* Resolve customer complaints and issues within required timeframes.
* Ensure effective use of CRM systems for managing contacts and opportunities.
* Manage the day-to-day activities of the Townsville and Cairns sales teams.
* Develop and implement sales plans, activities, and campaigns.
* Prepare and manage sales forecasts and budgets.
Requirements:
* Proven experience (3+ years) in sales leadership, preferably within the building or construction industry.
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
* Preferred tertiary qualifications in business, sales, or a related field.
* Willing to undertake regular travel to Cairns.
