About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and adaptable HR professional at the APS6 level to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced HR environment. This role requires demonstrated experience in HR consulting, project management, communications, and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will be confident working across a variety of HR initiatives and will play a key role in delivering strategic outcomes for the agency.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality HR consulting services across the agency, including advice on policy, employee relations, workforce planning, and organisational change.
Manage and contribute to HR projects from planning through to delivery, ensuring milestones are met and outcomes achieved.
Develop and implement internal communication strategies to support HR initiatives and organisational goals.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective consultation and collaboration.
Analyse workforce data and prepare clear, concise reports and briefings for senior management.
Adapt quickly to varying working environments and priorities, applying sound judgement in complex and sensitive situations.
Use Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) at an advanced level to support HR processes, reporting, and communication.
Capabilities and ExperienceProven experience in HR consulting, project management, and stakeholder engagement in the public or private sector.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to new systems, tools, and working environments.
High-level proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to create professional documents, presentations, and data reports.
Understanding of the APS Values, Employment Principles and Code of Conduct.
