We are looking for a Lead Maintenance Fitter to join one of our Brewing engineering teams.

Working with iconic brands, this role will support the delivery of products through minimising waste events related to machine efficiency on site.
Your new role
* Scheduled preventative and corrective maintenance - 80 to 90% of your time will be on the tools
* Working in a team with two area mechanical specialists (fitters), an electrical specialist and a C&A engineer: Reliability projects and problem-solving to optimise production and minimise downtime
* Provide mechanical technical guidance to shift trades and production teams.
* Supervise contractors and ensure adherence to site safety, quality and environmental policies
* Champion a safety-first culture in the brewery.
What you'll need to succeed
* A mechanical fitter trade qualification (fitter), Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade
* Strong hands-on experience (5+ years) in mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing FMCG environment
* Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles, maintenance practices, problem-solving and failure analysis techniques.
* Experience using a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) to record work completed
* Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Strong motivation to succeed and deliver quality results
* Experience with liquid processing equipment such as valves, pumps and centrifuges will be highly regarded.
