As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and providing high-quality management of Council's asset systems in accordance with accounting standards.
The primary objective is to effectively coordinate and maintain the register of Council assets, including roads, drainage, footpaths, cycle ways, bridges, recreational facilities, land, water supply, and sewerage systems.
To achieve this, you will need to apply sound engineering, environmental, financial, and safety principles to coordinate and maintain the register of Council assets.
You will also be required to correlate information related to the maintenance of Council assets, including planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
In addition, you will need to coordinate site surveys for collecting asset condition and detail information and verifying recorded data.
Your role will involve providing infrastructure information for asset renewal and replacement programs.
You will use information from existing and newly acquired assets to produce and maintain a compilation of Council asset plans. Update this information in Council's GIS and AMS, producing maps as needed.
Accuracy and efficiency are crucial in your daily tasks, ensuring accurate and efficient data input and records management using various Council data capture devices and systems.
You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and services provided by the role and team to ensure efficient and safe delivery of objectives, maximising resource utilisation.
Maintaining a positive safety culture within the organisation is essential, ensuring a safe workplace for employees and the community by monitoring compliance with policies, procedures, legislation, specifications, project plans, and documentation.
We are seeking someone who has
* Demonstrated experience in applying accounting policies, principles, and Australian Accounting Standards, particularly for asset management.
* Knowledge and experience in financial management and statutory reporting.
* Strong understanding of Asset Management principles and data maintenance requirements for accurate details within an asset register.
We require someone with
* Certificate IV in Asset Management, Engineering or equivalent, or four years' experience in a related environment.
* Demonstrated knowledge of asset management principles, practices, and systems.
* Experience in infrastructure condition auditing, data collection methodologies, maintenance prioritisation, and statutory reporting.
* High levels of data literacy, with the ability to perform advanced data analysis, complex fault finding/investigations, and implementing performance KPIs.
* Able to analyse and interpret Excel effectively.
* Familiarity with ISO55001 is an advantage.
* Class C Driver's Licence.
* General Construction Induction (WHS White Card).
