About the Role
The University of Melbourne's School of Computing and Information Systems is seeking an academic to contribute to teaching and research in Cyber Security. This role involves leading innovative research, publishing in top-tier venues, securing independent funding, and collaborating with industry and interdisciplinary teams across the University.
Your Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Teach subjects to a high standard at undergraduate and graduate levels;
* Conduct lectures and tutorials, engaging in teaching innovation and improvement;
* Develop and innovate subject materials and delivery, including web resources as appropriate;
* Prepare project work to support student learning;
* Conduct scholarly research in Cyber Security;
* Build partnerships with industry, government, and other collaborators.
Requirements for Success
The successful candidate will be a collaborative researcher with a strong track record in Cyber Security, demonstrating excellent communication skills and ability to engage with academic, industry, and international stakeholders. They will possess a proactive mindset, excelling in teamwork, independent research, and knowledge-sharing through teaching, seminars, and projects.
Minimum Qualifications
You must have:
* A PhD in computer science, software engineering, or information systems (or relevant discipline);
* A track record of quality research in Cyber Security as evidenced by publications in leading conferences or journals;
* Demonstrated ability to perform independent research and commitment to interdisciplinary research;
