Your Chance
As the Facilities Services Officer within our client focused Infrastructure Housing team, you will have the opportunity to support departmental officers by providing administrative services across the range of housing infrastructure management solutions, financial and operational support.
Your Role
As The Facilities Services Office, Infrastructure Housing You Will
- Provide financial and operational support to departmental officers for a range of housing infrastructure management services.
- Participate, with supervision, in a range of project, business as usual and business improvement activities across a broad range of housing infrastructure management strategies.
- Contribute to the delivery of tailored housing infrastructure management solutions for the department.
- Work as part of a team to assist in the compilation and formulation of reports and submissions to support the delivery of a range of housing infrastructure management matters.
- Resolve operational problems and assist in the development and implementation of initiatives, policies, processes and systems.
- Monitor and maintain practices to ensure compliance with legislation, whole of government and departmental requirements.
- Handle enquiries regarding departmental projects, facilities and assets.
Other Responsibilities (as Required)
- Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the supervisor or nominated delegate.
About You
The ideal applicant will possess the following knowledge, skills, experience and personal attributes:
- Knowledge of, or knows where to find knowledge of, legislation, awards, policies, procedures and systems relevant to cleaners employed by the department.
- Ability to provide thorough advice and to develop operational strategies for the delivery of quality operational management services, while demonstrating reliability in organising individual workloads to meet deadlines, commitments and client service standards.
- Ability to work as a member of a team, liaising and establishing good working relationships with staff and clients at all levels.
- Takes personal responsibility for accurate completion of work and commits energy and drive to ensure goals are achieved.
- Focuses on clear communication of key points using participative decision-making skills, written skills including the ability to prepare reports and to provide accurate and timely advice to a diverse range of clients.
