About the Role
This role is ideal for someone with experience in hands-on floristry (Ideally Cert III florist or equivalent experience (3+ years in fast-paced floristry). Alongside creating high-quality arrangements, this role steps in to use your prior floristry knowledge to support our Retails Operations Manager with some floristry coaching, and general day-to-day leader-support tasks to help keep the team running smoothly.
As part of our team, you'll help maintain high standards, assist with team direction where needed, and ensure daily goals and KPIs are being smashed. You'll work on the tools, contribute creatively, and step up when needed, with the added variety of assisting with stock and supply to help our arrangements be beautiful for each customer.
Hours:
Full-time, 38 hours/week - paid hourly. Either (A) Tuesday-Saturday 7am-3pm or (B) Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Please detail your preference for hours in your cover letter.
Key responsibilities include:
* Completing website orders to a high-quality standard (meeting 'orders per hour' targets)
* Supporting the Team Lead in achieving daily and weekly goals
* Providing direction and leadership support when the Team Lead is unavailable
* Assisting with team coaching
* Helping to create and execute new arrangements for the website
* Supporting warehouse functions including cleanliness, safety and stock/wastage management
* Helping maintain and uplift team culture, morale, and vibe

About You
You are:
* An experienced florist with a passion for flowers, design and customer experience (Ideally Cert III florist or equivalent experience (3+ years in fast-paced floristry).
* Highly motivated, reliable and adaptable, thriving under time pressure and deadlines (You're hard-working yet know how to keep the workplace lively)
* A supportive communicator who can give and receive feedback well
* Detail-oriented, with pride in maintaining high standards for yourself and others
* A natural team player who leads by example and enjoys motivating others
* Excited by the opportunity to grow your leadership skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment
Bonus Points For:
* Experience in small to medium business environments (especially start-ups)
* Prior experience in training staff, especially in floristry (teams of 10+)
* Strong background in floristry management, retail management or hospitality leadership
