The primary purpose of this role is to oversee and manage the complete end to end fortnightly payroll process including all month end and annual payroll related activities.
About The Role
Ensure accurate and timely payroll payments across multiple entities, adhering to awards, agreements, and Allianz policies, including employment contracts.
Oversee Payroll team tasks, especially during absences and high-volume periods, ensuring deadlines are met, including during the Annual Remuneration Review.
Review and enhance Payroll processes, implementing necessary changes and robust controls to align with Allianz's strong risk culture.
Address payroll queries and escalations promptly, ensuring alignment with Service Level Agreements, and facilitate remediation of complex payroll issues.
Collaborate on HR and cross-divisional projects, manage superannuation reconciliation, oversee payroll compliance checks, and assist with audit information delivery and finance-related escalations.
Proven experience in managing payroll operations for over 5,000 employees.
Ability to thrive in Allianz's dynamic and rapidly evolving work setting, combining extensive volume experience with agility.
Responsible for overseeing a large operational team, requiring strong leadership and team management skills to effectively lead and support the team.
About You
Extensive experience in leading payroll functions within large, complex organizational structures.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in task completion, with the ability to swiftly identify errors or inconsistencies.
Skilled in managing internal client expectations, effectively triaging and addressing matters within agreed timelines and scopes.
Proficient in planning, prioritizing, organizing tasks, and managing competing resources and demands.
Capable of identifying, analysing, and assessing business risks, implementing controls for sustainable risk management, and demonstrating technical proficiency with various systems and tools.
A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
