Role and Location
The role is FIFO based in the Pilbara region of WA. The roster is 4 days on and 3 days off. The work comprises maintaining the structural integrity of existing Ore-Processing Facility (OPF) assets on an existing mine site.
Responsibilities
- Prepare structural design calculations to relevant standards and specifications.
- Prepare sketches and scopes for remedial works.
- Inspections and reports of defective assets onsite.
- Attend stakeholder meetings.
- Collaborate with stakeholders onsite to produce efficient and practical remedial work packages.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 7 years experience in structural engineering. Previous experience in the mining sector is preferred but not a requirement.
- Experience in design software, such as SpaceGASS.
- Experience with current Australian Standards specifically AS1170, AS4100 and AS3600.
- Ability to produce high quality PDF sketches using programs, such as Bluebeam.
- Ability to work autonomously on multiple projects.
- Great communication skills, verbally and written.
Contract and Compensation
The role is Contract-based offering $90 an hour inclusive of Super. The project is expected to be ongoing. We are seeking someone who is self motivated and keen to grow within the role.
