This is a hands-on role that requires overseeing service delivery, compliance, financial performance, and stakeholder relationships to ensure operations are efficient, safe, and aligned with sustainability goals.
* Oversight of the waste management contract, ensuring all KPIs and service levels are met.
* Leadership and guidance of the operations staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Collaboration with depot supervisor and drivers to maintain efficient daily operations.
* Championing safety initiatives, investigating incidents, and building a safety-first culture within the team, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Management of contract budgets, monitoring costs, and driving efficiency improvements.
* IDentification and implementation of opportunities to enhance service delivery and sustainability initiatives.
About You:
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams to achieve performance goals.
* Proven experience in an operations management role within logistics or an industrial environment is desirable.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, focusing on continuous improvement and operational optimization.
* Strong safety leadership with a functional knowledge of HSE legislation and safety management systems.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
