Join this dynamic, fast paced University as a Cyber Security Solution Architect and be a key part of the Architecture & Software Engineering group, responsible for the development of end-to-end Solutions from conceptual through to detailed designs.
Your brand-new role will see you work closely with the Enterprise Architects and other key members across the University to develop, maintain a range of architecture artefacts, including Logical and Physical Solution Designs, Patterns, Standards, Detailed Designs, and also providing inputs to roadmaps and technology/platform strategies.
Key activities
1. Gather requirements and develop Solution and Detailed Designs for Cybersecurity technologies being implemented by the organisation
2. Design, consult and provide quality assurance of complex Security, Cloud, End-User & related domain solutions
3. Assist other Solution Architects in the Cybersecurity elements of their projects
4. Provide Cybersecurity advice and assistance to projects and BAU teams
5. Participate in threat and vulnerability assessments of new systems or upgrades to existing systems
6. Assist project teams with requirements gathering regarding Cybersecurity Controls
7. Ensure all solutions designs and related artefacts are fit for purpose
8. Contribute to the Architecture Working Group and Architecture Review Board providing quality assurance across all architecture artefacts
9. Keep up to date on industry trends and assess new products and emerging technologies
10. Define and maintain the end-to-end lifecycle of architecture artefacts including Solution & Detail Designs, Patterns, Position/Options papers and Reference Architecture by collaborating with stakeholders across the University
11. Lead analysis of the business' future-state capabilities and future (and current) IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend options for improvement to support and enable the delivery of Value for the organisation
12. Collaborates across ITS functions to translate our Technology Solutions to Enterprise Architecture roadmaps
Skills and experience
13. Minimum 5+ years success in working across Cybersecurity programs
14. Cybersecurity expertise and experience in across Microsoft 365, AWS, Common SaaS applications, such as Salesforce, Network and server infrastructure
15. Industry certifications relating to Cybersecurity, such as CISSP, Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect, AWS Certified Security
16. Highly collaborative and supportive of business and of its ideas and strategies
17. Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms and processing environments including working across a range of cloud security solutions (preference AWS) and on-premises technologies
18. Good understanding of strategic and new and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models
19. Ability to work at varying levels of detail, from high level component/logical architecture to low level detail design
