We have 2 Oncology Units - Baxter Wing 6 and Andrew Love Cancer Centre
Baxter Wing 6 is the Oncology and Haematology Inpatient Unit of Cancer Services. The busy and dynamic unit is a 28 bed ward that cares for acutely unwell cancer patients from Geelong and the South West Region. Our core services include acute care for haematology patients, including peripheral stem cell transplants, medical oncology and radiation oncology patients. BAX6 is a purpose built cancer ward that is a great working space but is also provides comfort and privacy for our patients.
Andrew Love Day Oncology Unit comprises 15 treatment chairs providing patient centred care for those undertaking treatments for both oncological and haematological cancers, based on best practice in a compassionate supportive environment. The Centre provides comprehensive and integrated treatment within a multi-disciplinary environment committed to continuing education and research for the people of Geelong and South Western Victoria.
Join our multidisciplinary team in this casual role located at the Andrew Love Centre and Baxter Level 6 at University Hospital Geelong. We are seeking a Registered Nurses to join our team to further enhance or develop existing skills in cancer nursing. Casual positions available.

As the Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the provision of patient, client and resident focused holistic nursing care to those assigned to you, in order to achieve desired clinical outcomes.
Duties of the role include but are not limited to:
4. Delivering consumer centred care that meets best practice standards and in line with Barwon Health requirements
5. Providing quality patient care using an evidence based approach
6. Participation in regular audit processes to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory bodies is maintained
