O'Neill carpentry and construction – Albury NSW
We are seeking a qualified carpenter to join our established carpentry and construction team. This full-time position is based in Albury, NSW and will involve a wide range of carpentry and construction duties. As a qualified carpenter, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality workmanship and contributing to the success of our growing business.
What you'll be doing
Carrying out a variety of carpentry tasks, including framing, roofing, flooring, and finishing work
Reading and interpreting plans, sketches, and specifications to ensure accurate and compliant work
Collaborating with the construction team to coordinate and complete projects efficiently
Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition
Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety
Providing guidance and mentoring to apprentices and less experienced carpenters
What we're looking for
Formal qualification in carpentry, such as a Certificate III in Carpentry
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified carpenter, preferably in the construction industry
A minimum of 1-2 years of residential carpentry experience is required, with custom homes and renovation work highly regarded
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges on site
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
Understanding of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
Valid car licence, reliable transport, and own basic tools are essential
