An exciting opportunity exists for a Head of Special Education Services to influence inclusive practices across diverse school communities while enjoying the unique lifestyle and natural
beauty of the Whitsunday region.
Reporting to the Principal of Collinsville State High School, you will coordinate and support the Special Education Programs across participating schools, building staff capability and fostering
a shared commitment to high-quality teaching and learning for students with disability.
This role leads Inclusive Education across a collaborative cluster of North Queensland schools. Whitsunday Cluster includes: Collinsville State High School (base school), Collinsville State School, Scottville State School, Merinda State School, Hamilton Island State School and Hayman Island State School.
This is a temporary full-time position to commence from 22 January until 11 December 2026, with possibility of extension, unless otherwise determined.

About the Role
As the Head of Special Education Services you will
* Promote an inclusive culture and practices within the school community to ensure equity and excellence for students with disability.
* Develop and support a high quality of teaching and adjustments for students with disability in accordance to related legislation and policies.
