About the Team
The Digital Governance and Compliance Team sits within the Strategy and Architecture Section of the Digital Branch. That section provides strategic direction, guidance, and governance for the effective management and optimisation of the Commission's Digital & ICT infrastructure, ensuring that technology investments support the Commission's goals and priorities.
About the Role
The Portfolio Manager will assist in the coordination and assurance activities, through the planning, support and monitoring of digital activities.
The role supports digital initiatives to;
* Progress digital activities through structured governance processes
* Maintain accurate and consistent data quality
* Demonstrate alignment to strategic objectives
* Track benefits realisation and financial performance
* Identify and support project interdependencies
Position Duties
* Monitor initiative progression through agreed stage gates.
* Consolidate financial, delivery, risk, and performance data across initiatives.
* Maintain the portfolio-level benefits register.
* Monitor project budgets and financial variance across digital initiatives.
* Identify resource contention and dependencies
* Provide analytical input into reprioritisation discussions.
Position Eligibility Requirements (Selection Criteria)
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
* Qualifications in Project Management
* Experience in applying project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Prince2).
* Proven ability to in reporting tool software, including Power Bi.
* Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Experience in managing project budgets and procurement processes.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Position Notes
* Salary offered will be between $99,784 - $112,571 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.

* Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for an irregular/intermittent term. Opportunities will be offered for varying periods up to 12 months with the option to extend to a total of 24 months.
