About the role
Impact Line Boring and Engineering is seeking an experienced Machinist - Mobile Line Borer to join our team in Yatala, Queensland. This is a full-time position and will play a crucial role in supporting our clients across the Trades & Services industry.
What you'll be doing
* Operate mobile line boring equipment to accurately bore and machine various components on-site at client locations
* Perform precision machining tasks to restore and repair large equipment such as Earthmoving equipment, Engineering components
* Ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards and quality specifications
* Collaborate with the wider team to troubleshoot issues and identify the most efficient solutions
* Maintain detailed records of all work completed and parts used
* Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations
What we're looking for
* Experience as a Machinist, with proven expertise in mobile line boring (not necessary)
* Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex issues
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills
* Commitment to safety and quality standards, with a keen attention to detail
* Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in Machining or a related field
