What Does the Role Involve?

The best way to understand this role is by walking through a typical week—once you've completed ACNA's leadership training.

Your week will likely include:

* Team Coordination & Scheduling : You'll connect with your team and ACNA schedulers to review assessment requests. This helps you make strategic decisions to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time—across diverse geographies.
* Community Engagement & Client Support : You'll work alongside your team and directly with clients, using your professional judgement and existing skills to deliver meaningful, person-centred care. You'll also support the sector through education and information-sharing.
* Collaboration & Connection : Expect regular meetings with colleagues across Australia, including case conferences and team check-ins. These foster a strong sense of belonging and support—hallmarks of our small-team structure, backed by a national 'teams of teams' model.
* Driving Sector Reform : Your everyday work and the feedback you provide will contribute to shaping future aged care reforms. This input is shared with the Department of Health and Aged Care, helping us challenge the status quo and amplify our impact.
* Recruitment & Training : You'll play an active role in recruitment, induction, and ongoing training—ensuring every team member has a positive and enriching learning experience.


Who are we looking for?

You are an adaptable thinker who thrives in dynamic environments.

You are a great collaborator and 'connector of people'.

You are a passionate problem-solver with a growth mindset.

You love to travel.

You love communicating and coaching.

You are a great clinician (Physio, OT, Social Worker or RN) and are ready to spend your days focussed on leading a team that conducts assessments.

You hold current professional registration with either AHPRA or AASW as required for your clinical discipline.

You have at least one year of experience working in aged care or with older people.

People will have called you all sorts of different names. - Authentic. Fun. Genuine. Brilliant. Approachable and a little bit cheeky

You possess a minimum of 3 years of management or leadership experience to effectively guide and develop clinical teams.

Competitive salary : $118,105.52 per annum (full time) plus super, with generous salary packaging benefits of up to $15,899 per year, mileage reimbursement and travel opportunities.
