Senior Control Systems Engineer Role Overview
This role presents an exceptional opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and drive the delivery of control systems across complex EPC projects. Reporting to the Senior Principal Control Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring high standards and technical excellence throughout the full project lifecycle-from design to commissioning.
Key responsibilities include preparing control system designs to meet engineering specifications, developing functional descriptions, PLC programming, SCADA systems, and network configuration, as well as liaising with clients, project teams, and suppliers to ensure project alignment.
* Develop cost estimates for controls engineering work and conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT), site commissioning, and performance validation.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
* Significant experience in Control Systems Engineering (Senior/Principal level).
* CPEng certification (or working towards).
* Experience with SCADA systems and network architecture.
* Ability to produce technical documentation (FAT, SAT, functional descriptions).
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
* Experience with Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office suite.
* Valid Driver's Licence.
* VBA skills are desirable.
* Must have Australian work rights.
