**How will I help?**
We have an exciting opportunity for Manager BCM role.
The Manager, Business, Controls & Monitoring is an important 1LOD role in supporting the Group Customer Assist team with a specific focus on Policy and standards, regulatory investigation, reporting and remediation.
You will also play a key role in providing general Risk and Compliance advice to the Group Customer Assist team, supporting Industry initiatives, providing advice on regulatory change, as well as supporting incident management and other projects as required.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Support the Group Customer Assist Business to build knowledge and develop skills in risk and compliance management.
- Be clear on the Customer Assist strategy and how Risk and Compliance enables that strategy in order to communicate to critical stakeholders
- Support the strategic program for Group Customer Assist, providing advice and guidance on risk, compliance, and policy matters
- Support the team in ensuring our Partners have Risk and Control frameworks that meet the Westpac Groups increasing requirements.
- Provide an exceptional service experience for our customers by being a role model of Our Service Promise
- Helping the team to meet its Operational Risk and Compliance requirements, including all activities linked to JUNO.
- Documenting root cause/trend analysis and rectification of incidents relating to Compliance and Operational Risk breaches.
- Assess changes to ensure they are appropriately assessed from a Risk perspective, and appropriate controls are implemented

**What do I need?**
- Qualifications in a business; legal or related disciplines will be highly regarded
- General banking industry knowledge and Understanding of the Regulatory Landscape
- Preferable knowledge of Customer Assist and Financial Hardship processes and regulatory requirements.
- Basic understanding of Risk and Compliance framework requirements
- Demonstrating balanced decisions, that consider Compliance, Commercial and Customer requirements.
- Senior Stakeholder engagement experience.
- Strong attention to detail required to ensure all relevant information is up to date and accurate.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Analyses situations or issues, considering all options prior to recommending and implementing a solution
- Looks to continuously improve to enable increased business performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
