Job Summary
As a Senior Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person-centered care and support. Your role will involve supervising and inspiring a team of dedicated Care Assistants alongside the Deputy General Manager. You can also expect to support the clinical team in a specific area, such as medication, assessments, care plans or care reviews. You will always respect the dignity and preferences of our residents and help create an environment that is warm, welcoming and vibrant.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and motivate a team of Care Assistants.
* Collaborate with the Deputy General Manager to deliver high-quality, person-centered care.
* Support the clinical team with medication administration, assessments, care plan reviews and other clinical duties.
* Ensure the well-being and dignity of all residents.
* Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans.
Qualifications and Experience
* NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
* Specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly.
* Warm-hearted, compassionate, and committed to providing individualized care.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
