Investigation Specialist Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to leverage your analytical skills and experience as an investigator in the field of claims fraud. The role involves managing a portfolio of investigations into suspected non-genuine or fraudulent claims, non-disclosure/misrepresentation, and policy breaches. This position will collaborate closely with the National Investigations Manager and Fraud Analysts to minimize QBE's fraud exposure across claims.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough analyses of suspicious general insurance (GI) and people risk claims
* Manage a high volume of investigation referrals while maintaining compliance with industry standards, customer service protocols, and data protection requirements
* Perform investigations, including interviews, to gather evidence and determine claim outcomes for suspected non-genuine or fraudulent claims, non-disclosure/misrepresentation, and policy breaches
* Coordinate with external investigative service providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective services are provided
* Offer strategic investigative advice to inform claims decisions
* Detect instances of fraud and factual anomalies through timely analysis of data
* Implement appropriate actions to mitigate fraud/high-risk exposure
* Contribute to refining processes and procedures to enhance fraud detection and prevention
* Demonstrate adaptability in response to changing legislation and industry requirements
* Exhibit excellent planning and time management skills to meet competing priorities
