About the role About the role: Our Electrification & Innovation (E&I) business is driving Australia’s transition to a cleaner energy future. As part of this journey, the Business Analyst – Home Optimisation will play a critical role in shaping and delivering customer-focused flexibility and optimisation products that help households unlock greater value from their current and future customer energy resources (CER). Working closely with the Product Lead and delivery squad, you’ll be responsible for translating complex business needs into clear, actionable insights and requirements. Your work will balance commercial outcomes, customer experience, and scalable technology solutions to ensure products are designed for long-term impact and growth. This role sits within the Home Energy Transition team, which is dedicated to the incubation and commercial scaling of innovative products that support Australians in decarbonising the way they live. What you’ll be doing: Turn insights into impact – analyse data, market trends, and customer behaviour to generate actionable insights that guide product strategy and performance. Shape product features – partner with the Product Lead, Product Owner, and stakeholders to refine requirements through research, workshops, and feedback loops. Map and optimise processes – lead end-to-end process mapping to identify inefficiencies, streamline operations, and ensure alignment with customer and business outcomes. Enable collaboration and clarity – facilitate workshops, stand-ups, and stakeholder sessions to resolve ambiguities, drive alignment, and keep delivery on track. Own documentation and decision-making tools – create and maintain high-quality process maps, system diagrams, and technical documentation that underpin shared understanding and effective decisions. About you: Previous experience in a business analysis or product development role, demonstrating the ability to effectively problem- solve. Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, such as user manuals and/or system architecture diagrams. Experience with Agile methodologies. Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel and Data Visualisation platforms. Demonstrated ability to document and improving business processes.
