Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced
Conveyancer / Property Paralegal
to support our property development projects across Adelaide. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge of South Australian conveyancing practices, land division processes, and off-the-plan contracts, along with the ability to provide paralegal-level support on property-related legal tasks. This hybrid role involves managing conveyancing files end-to-end while assisting with legal documentation, compliance, and project administration.
About the Role
Manage the full conveyancing process for residential development projects, including
land subdivisions
and
off-the-plan sales
.
Prepare, review, and lodge legal documentation such as Contracts of Sale, Form 1s, disclosure statements, cooling-off notices, and settlement documents.
Handle PEXA settlements, lodgements, title searches, and dealings with Land Services SA.
Coordinate settlement timelines and ensure compliance with all legislative and contractual requirements.
Liaise with purchasers, vendors, solicitors, banks, surveyors, agents, and government authorities.
Conduct due diligence, VOI (Verification of Identity), and statutory checks.
Property Paralegal Responsibilities
Draft, proofread, and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and agreements related to property development.
Assist with reviewing planning approvals, land division documentation, easements, covenants, and project-related legal matters.
Support the development team with compliance tracking, contract administration, and legal research.
Maintain accurate file management, record-keeping, and document control for development projects.
Assist in risk identification and provide proactive support to resolve legal or conveyancing issues affecting project timelines.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 4–5 years of experience as a Conveyancer or Property Paralegal in South Australia.
Certificate IV or Advanced Diploma in Conveyancing OR experience supporting property lawyers in a paralegal capacity.
Robust understanding of SA property law, conveyancing processes, off-the-plan requirements, and land division.
Proficiency with PEXA, Land Services SA, and conveyancing/legal practice software.
Exceptional attention to detail, drafting skills, and accuracy.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders professionally.
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in managing legal and conveyancing matters.
