The Role
As Executive Director – Financeand Enabling Services, you'll oversee the financial health and strategy of a business that has achieved remarkable success within Australia.
You'll lead a high-performing large team of finance professionals. Reporting directly to the Board and CEO your influence will extend across multiple business units, driving efficiency, profitability, and long-term sustainability.
Key Capabilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
* Design and implement financial strategies that support the company's vision for growth.
* Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for multi-unit operations.
Operational Excellence:
* Oversee all financial functions, ensuring seamless operations and process optimisation.
* Collaborate with the internal legal team to manage compliance, mitigate risks, and uphold governance standards.
Business Partnership:
* Act as a key advisor to the Board and CEO, providing actionable insights to guide business decisions.
* Drive initiatives related to capital investment, cost management, and new business opportunities.
Team Leadership and Development:
* Inspire and develop a diverse team of finance professionals, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
* Foster collaboration across onshore and offshore teams to achieve strategic objectives.
Growth and Innovation:
* Leverage financial expertise to explore and implement growth opportunities across various industries.
* Spearhead initiatives that position the business as a market leader in its sectors.
About You
* A proven track record as a CFO or senior financial leader in a high-growth, complex business environment.
* CPA qualifications and in-depth knowledge of Australian financial regulations.
* Experience managing financial operations across diverse industries and business units.
* Exceptional skills in strategic planning, financial modelling, and risk management.
* A collaborative leader capable of managing large, multi-location teams, including offshore contractors.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to influence at all levels.

mecwacare is a proudly not-for-profit, non-denominational charitable organisation that has supported Victorians for more than 65 years. Guided by our values and driven by care, we deliver residential aged care, community and in-home nursing, and disability support services across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Founded in 1959 as the Malvern Elderly Citizens Welfare Association (MECWA) by a dedicated group of local volunteers, we becamemecwacarein 2007 to reflect our growth into a leading provider of aged care and disability services. Today, we continue to honour our heritage while innovating to meet the needs of the people and communities we serve.
