Business Overview: Adrian's Metal Recyclers is a proud, family-owned business employing 45 staff and operating a fleet of 9 trucks across South-East Queensland and Northern NSW. With a strong reputation in the metal recycling industry, we value teamwork, integrity, and exceptional customer service. Our small and collaborative admin team is looking for a motivated Accounts Payable / Accounts All-Rounder to join our growing operation.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Accounts All-Rounder with a strong background in Accounts Payable to support our finance and administrative functions. This role suits someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and thrives in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.
This is a part-time position (32 hours across 4 days) with the potential to become full-time for the right candidate.
Candidates must have Australian work rights as sponsorship is not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities
* Accounts Payable management, including processing invoices, reconciling statements, and handling supplier queries
* Account EFT payments for our key accounts, for payment of their recycled metal items
* Bank reconciliations and assisting with general account reconciliations
* Payroll preparation support
* Data entry and maintenance of accurate financial and administrative records
* Updating and maintaining daily internal spreadsheets and reports
* Assisting the Commercial Accountant with ad-hoc tasks and reporting
* Contributing to a positive team culture within a small, supportive admin team
* Supporting client relationships and customer service activities
* Helping implement and improve administrative procedures and workflows
* General office duties and other operational support as required
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in Accounts Payable or an all‑round accounts/admin role
* Strong proficiency with Xero Accounting Software
* High level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail
* Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude
* Knowledge of ServiceM8
* Knowledge of ScrapIT
* Experience setting up new procedures or improving existing systems

Your hours of work are from 7am – 4pm Monday to Friday, again they can be assessed with the right person for the role.
