The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all gym operations and ensuring exceptional member experiences.

Responsibilities include:
1. Effectively lead, manage, communicate, develop, and train staff such as Assistant General Managers, Front Desk Associates, and Trainers.
2. Address all issues involving employees and members in a respectful and timely manner with appropriate remediation plans.
3. Create and maintain the Judgement Free Zone.
4. Promote the Planet Fitness brand within local communities.
5. Ensure accurate and timely daily deposits.
6. Monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
7. Monitor staff performance and effectiveness.
8. Manage inventory, ensuring supplies are ordered, delivered, and available.
9. Create and maintain staffing schedules within payroll budgets.
10. Conduct self-inspections and mandatory training courses.
11. Manage team communication, motivation, and performance.
12. Stay updated with company policies and adhere to them.
Qualifications:
* Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
* Strong work ethic and decision-making skills.
* Self-starter with initiative and minimal supervision.
* Basic computer, math, and communication skills.
* Excellent supervisory skills.
* CPR/AED certification (training provided if needed).
* Minimum age of 18 years.
* Goal-oriented, enthusiastic, energetic.
* Ability to travel to other clubs if needed.
* Honest, punctual, reliable.
* Strong listening and empathetic skills.
* Diplomatic in interactions, using appropriate language and behavior.
* Preferred: Two years of supervisory or managerial experience in a high-volume environment.
Physical Demands:
* Standing and walking continuously during shifts.
* Talking in person or on the phone throughout shifts.
* Lifting up to 60 lbs.
Compensation: $45,100.00 - $50,000.00 per year
