We specialise in providing medical equipment to hospitals and aged care facilities to prevent pressure injuries and falls prevention aides.At KH, we're in partnership with our customers to achieve better patient outcomes by supplying leading-edge equipment within the injury prevention - pressure injuries and falls prevention and related categories - bariatric equipment, patient lifters and slings, independent living aids.We provide this equipment to hospitals, aged care facilities and private patients through the hiring and/or purchasing of our range of products e.g., air mattresses, cushions and falls alarms just to name a few.
The delivery and installation of our equipment are essential to the high level of service that we offer our clients.
Through our online ordering system, our clients can hire equipment from anywhere at any time and even track the entire process from hire dates right through to hire completion.We have a permanent opportunity within our internal biomedical engineering team for a FULL-TIME Senior Biomedical Engineer - Team Leader, who will be in charge of our nationally recognised service centre located in Carrum Downs VIC 3201.Main Tasks:The Senior Biomedical Engineer Team Leader will be responsible overseeing the maintaining and repairing of medical equipment.
They work to ensure that medical devices and equipment are functioning properly and safely, and that they meet the needs of patients and healthcare professionals.Our Biomedical Engineering Team members responsibilities, include but are not limited to, performing routine servicing, calibration, maintenance, and installation tasks on a range of medical devices that are used within major Metro and Regional Healthcare facilities across the state.
Also, together with some of our supplier partners, the biomedical team are being involved in the development and design of additional products to our range.
Ensure regulatory compliance: The senior biomedical engineer is responsible for ensuring that medical equipment and technology meet regulatory standards and comply with safety and quality requirements.
They stay up to date on regulations and work to ensure that all equipment is in compliance.Collaborate with healthcare professionals: The senior biomedical engineer collaborates with healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and technicians, to identify needs and requirements for new equipment and technology.
They work to ensure that equipment is designed and developed with the needs of healthcare professionals and patients in mind.Train staff: The senior biomedical engineer may be responsible for training staff on the proper use of medical equipment and technology.
They work to ensure that staff members are proficient in using equipment and that they understand safety protocols and best practice.Key requirementsDemonstrated graduate level of knowledge, expertise, and skill in a biomedical-related engineering field.Bachelor degree in a biomedical engineering field and at least 3 years of full-time relevant work experience.Commitment to the principles of the highest service level and continuous quality improvement.Experience with falls prevention and pressure care equipment will be highly regarded but not essential.Experience determining the most cost-effective repair/solution to minimise equipment downtime.Experience in managing a team of staff.Supporting the development of our growing bio-medical servicing business.Provide Requirement Engineering with an emphasis on medical device hardware, oversee, monitor, and support feature development from inception through all testing phases (system integration, verification, and validation).High level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders/clients and direction as the Senior Biomedical Engineer and Team Leader.Maintain the safety and integrity of all serviced products under Australian Standards AS/NZS 3551 & 3760 and company policy.Have a valid driver's license, valid Police Check and a Working with Children Check.Up to date Covid & Flu Vaccination CertificatesRemunerationA salary range between $90,000 - $98,000 (plus superannuation) will be offered to the successful candidate upon meeting of the above selection criteria and including past experience.
