Job Title:

Languages Educator - Western Australia



About the Position:


This is a full-time position commencing in 2026. Hedland Senior High School (SHS) is an independent public school catering for students from Year 7 to Year 12.

The Role:


* We seek motivated applicants with an in-depth understanding of the Western Australian Languages Curriculum and contemporary pedagogical practices to support the ongoing development of our languages program.



Required Skills and Qualifications:


* A skill set in Japanese is highly regarded; however, we are open to the delivery of other languages.
* Applicants should have knowledge in teaching the language, classroom teaching, and high-level speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Mobility Appointments:


Eligible permanent teachers may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment with a right of return to their substantive position.


* Note that South West teachers are not eligible to move to another South West school under this trial.

* To develop and implement engaging lesson plans.
* To work collaboratively with colleagues.
