Working with our community, you will be providing direct therapeutic interventions with your clients. Working with children, implementing progress to help reach developmental milestones and teach emotional regulation and social skills, working under the key worker framework.
As a Key Worker, you will be the primary point of contact for clients and their families, helping to coordinate services, support developmental goals, and provide direct early intervention or ongoing support. You'll work closely with our Allied Health team to deliver tailored, evidence-based support that truly makes a difference.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the main liaison for clients, families, and professionals Support clients to implement goals and care plans
* Coordinate services and monitor progress across disciplines
* Provide direct support sessions within scope
* Collaborate with allied health professionals and support teams
* Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Other roles and responsibilities
* Monitor, evaluate and review progress and therapy plans.
* Develop resources to support the programs.
* Undertake appropriate professional development, including self-reflection.
* Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic therapy programs.
* Comply with all company policies and procedures.
* Commitment to meeting client and organizational expectations
* Adopt and embrace the company's values and philosophy.
* Ensure the environment is always kept in a safe and hygienic state.
* Commitment to working as an effective team member.
* Promote the company and its interests to the local and wider community.
* Ensure all communication is completed in a professional and polite manner, to all internal and external stakeholders.
* All report writing will be completed within an appropriate time frame.
* Be the main contact and primary therapist for the client and family.
* Responsible for coordinating and building the client's team.
* Refer specific consultation or assessment as needed.
* Administer therapy plans, under supervision as required.
Previous Experience
* Experience working with children with developmental delay. (but not essential)
* Developing and implementing goal-based plans preferably.
* Punctual, reliable, and committed
* Clear, personable, and professional communication, both written and spoken
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Professional communication style to all internal and external stakeholders
* Good computer skills required for the company practice management software.
* Ability to work with a team and autonomously.
* Ability to follow direction and take initiative.
* Diploma in early Childhood Education, Specialist disability education teacher or Occupational Therapist
