StaffCo has partnered with one of Australia’s leaders in restoration services for both properties and contents affected by emergency situations and are seeking restoration labourers who are keen to learn the industry and want to progress to a technician. Full on-the-job training is provided.These roles are 38 hours per week with immediate starts available. The work will be in the Albury area.About the role:As a restoration labourer, you and the technician are the first representatives to meet customers whose properties have been damaged by flood, fire, mould, or other damages. Therefore, a strong customer focus, high professionalism, and an empathetic nature are essential.Each day will be different, so flexibility with schedules and tasks is required.Key Responsibilities:Responding swiftly to emergency calls, mitigating damage, and performing cleanup operations.Perform extraction, cleaning, sanitization, and structural demolition.Attend to water, fire, and mould-affected properties, initiating mitigation processes.Preparing scope of work for necessary repairs.Monitoring and documenting progressive restoration efforts.Working closely with fellow technicians.Communicating daily with operations regarding job updates, reports, and equipment billing.Completing timesheets, worksheets, and administrative tasks using internal systems.Adhering to legislative and WHS requirements.Performing general manual labour, including frequent driving.Requirements:Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn and grow.Excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, punctuality, and ability to work independently when required.High attention to detail and quality in all aspects of work, with clear communication of claim details to stakeholders.Professional presentation.Physically fit to perform manual labour, including lifting and carrying equipment and materials.Ability to work weekends and out of hours when needed.Willingness to learn and seek career advancement.Own car and valid licence.Construction White Card (advantageous).Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol tests.Benefits:Full-time hours – 38 hours per week, 5 shifts per week.Base pay rate from $31.21 per hour plus allowances.Overtime available.Full training provided.Career progression to become a technician.How do your skills match this job?How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.Your application will include questions about your right to work in Australia, possession of a White Card, current Australian driver’s licence, and access to a car.If you have any relevant details or concerns about this job ad, please include them here.Research careers and find tips on career advice.
