As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping and enhancing our HUBconnect Licensee product. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to onboard new customers, interpret their data needs, and translate business requirements into robust development solutions.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Product and Delivery teams to onboard new customers and interpret their data needs.
* Translate business requirements into robust development, implementation, and integration solutions across the HUBconnect Licensee product.
* Design, develop, and enhance ETL processes and data transformation pipelines.
* Partner with testers, analysts, business stakeholders, and technical leads to ensure high-quality deliverables.
* Provide ongoing support for existing systems and processes, including participation in a shared after-hours support roster.
* Upskill in modern data technologies such as Databricks and DBT, with opportunities to contribute to full-stack development and broaden your engineering capabilities.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Software Engineer.
* Strong understanding of relational database concepts and database design principles, particularly in Microsoft SQL Server.
* Advanced SQL development skills, with proven experience creating stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers in Microsoft SQL Server.
* Exposure to Modern Data Stacks, with specific experience in Databricks highly regarded.
* Proficiency in C# for building Web Services, Microservices, and ETL functions using Visual Studio.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience using testing tools such as Postman or similar automation platforms.
* Familiarity with Git and Azure DevOps for version control and CI/CD processes.
* Experience working within an Agile (SCRUM) development environment.
* Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Apigee Web Services is desirable.
* Willingness to participate in after-hours application support as part of a rotating roster.
