Preschool Director / Nominated Supervisor
Inaburra Preschool is a long‐standing Christian community preschool in Menai with a focus on learning through play, building strong connections and advocating for quality early education.
The Preschool Director is an active member of the community and is expected to lead the Inaburra Preschool team to provide high quality early childhood education and care to children within the guidelines of the National Education and Care Service Regulations (2011).
Responsibilities
* Developing strong and collaborative relationships with families, children and the community
* Leading a diverse and experienced team through a diversified leadership approach
* Implementing and upholding the policies, procedures and practices of Inaburra Preschool
* Working towards continuous improvement in all areas of the service's operations
* Being an advocate for early childhood, children and families in the community
Qualifications
* Bachelor or equivalent qualification as recognised by licensing authorities
* Alignment with Christian values
* Ability to meet Department of Education Nominated Supervisor requirements
* Provide written consent to be a nominated supervisor (Regulation 117A)
* Approved Child Protection Training Certificate
* Approved Child Safety Training
* Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training
* Clear valid Working with Children Check
* Willingness to be appointed as a Nominated Supervisor and Responsible Person under the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations
* National Police Clearance (not older than 6 months from commencement)
* Have adequate knowledge and understanding of the provision of education and care to children
* Have an ability to effectively supervise and manage an education and care service
* Ensure the rights, interests, health, safety and wellbeing of children at all times
* Demonstrated leadership in an early childhood context including the development of staff and the team
